Event Details
Join an open discussion on living with our own, and supporting other's, grief journeys.
Facilitator: Amanda Jones Stanforth, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Amanda began her career working with children and families. Her work has become more rooted in working with adults and young adults through major life transitions. She is a firm believer that things are rarely good or bad, and almost always exist within the "grey"; life can be both magnificent and terrible, and beautiful and painful. This has rarely been more true than it is in grief, and working with folks who are experiencing grief and navigating these seasons is a major piece if her practice. Amanda has extensive training and practice in trauma, loss, depression and anxiety, as well as life transitions like the Sandwich Generation and caregiving.
Facilitator: Susan Youngsteadt, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-S)
Susan is experienced working with adolescents, adults of all ages, and families who currently sees individuals ages 12+ for outpatient therapy. She also recently completed training as an End-of-Life Doula. Susan graduated from North Carolina State University (go Wolfpack!) in 2016 with her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Susan specializes in grief and runs a local grief group for young adults who's parent or caregiver has died. In addition, Susan is an active member of the community, volunteering for a variety of organizations including Transitions Hospice.
