Explore Dorothea Dix Park: Feathered Friends
Little ones will have great fun as they learn about the feathered creatures of our world. This program includes games, stories, songs, bird nests and eggs to see and touch PLUS children will create a bird house to take home.

Ages 2-6, only. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register the child(ren) only. Adults do not need to register.

Know Before You Go:
Parking: Turn onto Hunt Drive. Turn right onto Umstead Drive. Turn left onto Blair Drive. Turn left onto Barbour Drive. Follow the Big field to the SECOND gravel parking lot on your right.
Arrival: Please arrive a few minutes before 11. We know that sometime late arrivals can't be helped, but arriving late can disrupt the attention of the group.
Attire: Please wear closed-toe shoes; walking in grass and up and down hills will be necessary.
Food and Restrooms: There are no bathrooms in the park and no drinkable water, so please plan to bring a water bottle and come prepared to only have port-a-johns available.
