Craft Club: Clay-Making

Make Great Good Things!

Event Details

 Hosted in partnership with A Great Good Space, join us for an immersive clay-making experience at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center. Materials Included.

Instructor: Ceramicist and ecologist, Em Trentham, ceramic artist + owner of Muddy Slug

Dive into the world of critters and creatures through the medium of clay. Use hand sculpting techniques with clay to bring imaginary friends to life. Draw inspiration from sea slugs, fairy gardens, and ephemeral nature. Learn to pinch a form and use tools/ found objects to add texture to your clay pieces. All ages. Materials included.

* Participants will choose a color for their pieces to be glazed. Work will be available for pickup approx. 2 weeks after the event at the artist's studio. 

This program is free to the public thanks to Dix Park Conservancy donors.

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm | Please arrive by 10:00 am

Location: Walnut Creek Wetland Center, 950 Peterson St, Raleigh, NC 27610

Registration: While free to attend, participation is limited. Registration is required. 

Registration opens 2 weeks in advance at 12:00 pm.
