Little Explorers- Tale of a Tadpole
Tale of a Tadpole: All creatures grow and change in their lifetimes, but the lifecycle of a frog is an extraordinary one! Preschoolers can hop on over to the park to learn all about tadpoles and frogs through games, songs and live pond creatures to see up close and touch.
This program is for children ages 2-6 only. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Location: Oak Lawn at Dix Park, 691 Palmer Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27603
Registration: Space is limited, registration required. Please register each child, adults do not need to register. This event is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.

Know Before You Go

Walking in grass and on uneven surfaces will be necessary. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Accessibility
Dorothea Dix Park continues to strive to be accessible and welcoming for visitors, including those with disabilities. Currently, portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces and are not fully accessible. Accessibility is a primary focus for early park improvements and all future planning and development.
Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in all lots.
Restrooms: Accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Indoor accessible restrooms are available in the newly renovated Chapel.
