All Get Fit at Dix Programs Canceled Through April 30
Enjoy the nature and tranquility of Dorothea Dix Park as yoga instructor Dana Lindquist, RYT200, leads you through yoga poses to increase strength and flexibility. All fitness levels are welcome!
- 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month: Gentle Flow Yoga for all levels
- 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month: Yin Yoga—Meditative, Deep Stretch for all levels
Bring a yoga mat, if you have one, a towel and a filled water bottle. Water is not available in the park. There are port-a-johns available, but they may be a significant walk from the yoga location.
Registration is strongly encouraged. In case of inclement weather, we will email all registered participants. This program is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.
Time: 6:15 - 7:15 PM
Location: Williams Field at Dix Park, corner of Blair Drive and Umstead Drive. Nearest building address is 101 Blair Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Directions to the Program Location
This program will meet in Williams Field which is on the other side of the tree line from the Big Field, near the corner of Blair Drive and Umstead Drive. From Western Boulevard, turn onto Hunt Drive. Turn RIGHT onto Umstead Drive. Turn RIGHT into the first parking lot (striped in green paint, near a gazebo). Walk across Umstead Drive into the field. Your instructor will meet you there.
Dorothea Dix Park continues to work to be accessible and welcoming for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility. Accessible Parking with reserved spaces is available in all lots on campus. Handicap accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces are not ADA accessible at this time.
