Third Community Meeting for the Dorothea Dix Park Master Plan coming Wednesday, June 13

June 5, 2018

RALEIGH, N.C. – Dorothea Dix Park will host another community meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the park in Haywood Gymnasium at 805 Ruggles Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603. This will be the third of five large community meetings to be held during the master plan process.

"This meeting will primarily focus on the buildings and how their uses will positively contribute to the life of the park. Transforming the site from a hospital campus to a welcoming, public space is a unique opportunity and we’re excited to hear everyone’s ideas." stated Kate Pearce, City of Raleigh Senior Planner for Dorothea Dix Park.

Whether you are just getting started or already engaged, we welcome all feedback and ideas. The meeting will include a formal presentation from the design team and interactive opportunities for community members to provide input. Come help create a park that’s reflective of our diverse community—a park for everyone, built by everyone.

Please RSVP to help us prepare and to receive parking directions or any event changes. Thank you!
