Celebrate the longest day of the year with an early morning yoga session in Flowers Field at Dorothea Dix Park. Watch the sun rise over downtown Raleigh on the first day of summer as you breathe, stretch, and enjoy the peacefulness of nature during a relaxing practice led by yoga instructors with CorePower Yoga.
This FREE yoga session is suitable for all ages and abilities. Previous knowledge of yoga is not necessary. We are so excited to ring in the official start of summer with you in beautiful Dorothea Dix Park!
Time: 5:45 - 7:00 am
Please arrive at 5:45 am, and find a spot for your mat. We'll get started a little after 6:00 am. Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect and can send you any important weather related updates if needed. This event is free to the public thanks to Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy donors.
Know Before You Go:
- Bring a yoga mat or towel, and a filled water bottle.
- Walking up hills, in grass and on uneven surfaces will be necessary.
- There are no bathrooms in Dix Park and no drinkable water available. Please come prepared to only have port-a-johns available.
