Dix Park Little Explorers presents, Reptiles Rock! With this interactive nature program, preschoolers will see and touch live reptiles including turtles, lizards and snakes and discover just how amazing these creatures truly are!
This program is for children ages 2-6 only. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Our nature programs are very popular and fill up quickly! Registration is required. Please register the child(ren) only. Adults do not need to register.
Location: The Big Field at Dix Park, 101 Blair Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603
Know Before You Go:
Parking: Turn onto Hunt Drive. Turn right onto Umstead Drive. Turn left onto Blair Drive. Turn left onto Barbour Drive. Follow the Big field to the SECOND gravel parking lot on your right.
Arrival: Please arrive a few minutes before 11. We know that sometime late arrivals can't be helped, but arriving late can disrupt the attention of the group.
Attire: This program is outdoors, please dress accordingly and wear closed-toe shoes; walking in grass and up and down hills will be necessary.
Food and Restrooms: There are no bathrooms in the park and no drinking water available, so please plan to bring a water bottle and come prepared to only have port-a-johns available.
Dorothea Dix Park continues to work to be accessible and welcoming for visitors with disabilities and limited mobility. Accessible Parking with reserved spaces are available in all lots on campus. Handicap accessible port-a-johns are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Portions of Dorothea Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces are not ADA accessible at this time.
